Pleased to report that next Summer's jaunt is planned and booked.
Flights with Easyjet went on sale on 5th November and have been booked, together with accommodation, for eighteen nights commencing Sept 4th.
We still have ten nights organised for April, but it's nice to know that the main holiday in September is now a certainty rather than a dream.

Likewise!
Just booked with flyglobespan.com, 30 May to 13 June, so that's the flights sorted.
Accommodation-wise:
In a change from our usual Marina Club, we have our eye on an apartment right on the marina front.
It's in one of the original blocks, and we've always fancied it - keep walking past Lazyjacks, past Do Cais to the first right hand corner, and it's the oldish block on your right, balcnies looking north-ish, so get the sun at G&T time in the evenings (if we can drag ourselves away from South Bar's happy hour before it sets!). We haven't committed yet, so if anyone has any experience of this block, now's a great time to mention it - muito obrigado.
VinhoTinto looks like we'll miss you again this year - we must hook up at some time and bore each other to death with Great Lagosian Adventures over a vinho tinto or two.

I'm beginning to get the feeling that you're avoiding me on purpose, Marinamad.
We're over from 13th-23rd April and again on the 4th September for eighteen nights. When do you book yours? - slap bang in between the two !!
A snippet of information that might be of interest to you as I know you visit O Galeao from time to time:
Remember the tall slim waitress with the horn-rimmed specs who virtually ran the place?-well word has it that she's leaving in November; how the place will run without her I can't imagine - the girl had a computer for a brain!! It'll be interesting to see how they cope!

As long as their great Portuguese speciality, beef stroganoff, stays up to scratch I think I can put up with a slight drop in organisation/service.
It is amazing how well both kitchen and front of house operate - poetry in motion. Lots of very satisfied bums on seats.

Due to the somewhat inconvenient extinction of flyglobespan.com, and with it direct flights from Aberdeen to Faro, we have rebooked on easyJet from Glasgow. What a pain in the jacksie!
The good news? It's a day earlier, so not so long to wait.
